My Share in Rheinmetall
Rheinmetall AG first launched the "My Share in Rheinmetall" Employee Share Purchase Program in 2008. This gives employees the chance to participate in the company by subscribing to employee shares several times per year. 952 employees took part in the program in the 2010 fiscal year.
In addition to the German companies in the Rheinmetall Group, the employees of 19 European subsidiaries were also entitled to subscribe for the first time in 2010.
Employees are entitled to subscribe to a maximum of 100 shares and managers 200 shares at preferential conditions. Employees purchased a total of 100,338 Rheinmetall shares in two tranches in April and November 2010, which cannot be transferred or pledged for a term of two years.
Since the start of the Employee Share Purchase Program, employees have now purchased 484,006 Rheinmetall shares.
The great popularity of the Employee Share Purchase Program is indicative of the employees' trust in their company and their willingness to contribute to its development with their own capital.
